Whether you're filling an Easter basket or expecting to receive one to mark the April holiday, we can all agree that there's a science to crafting the perfect array of treats—you've got your pastel treats, egg-shaped desserts, and of course, plenty of chocolate. And while there are tons of Easter basket candies and egg hunt sweets to choose from, Americans tend to gravitate towards some tried-and-true favorites, like Cadbury products and chocolate bunnies.

With just days to go before the Easter holiday, Instacart released a list of America's favorite Easter candies by volume in the weeks leading up to the special occasion. The data was collected via a survey of more than 2,000 Americans conducted online by The Harris Poll, and revealed that Americans take their Easter confections very seriously. According to the intel, 92 percent of those who celebrate Easter are planning to buy Easter candy this year.

This year's favorite Easter candy may come as a bit of a surprise (no Peeps or Cadbury Creme Eggs!). And overall, chocolate treats are more popular than their sweet counterparts made without chocolate—seven out of the top 10 candies include chocolate. Keep reading to find out America's most popular Easter candies.
