As a late convert to coffee (I only started drinking it regularly last year!), I’m always excited when I come across a device or accessory that can make my now-daily consumption extra enjoyable. So when I got the chance to try out Ember’s top-rated temperature-controlled smart coffee mug, I eagerly jumped at the opportunity.

Available on Amazon in 10- or 14-ounce sizes, the mug is designed to keep your coffee or tea hot for at least 80 minutes on one battery charge. It pairs with Ember’s app, which you can use to set your ideal temperature or create timed presets, among other helpful things, but it can work just as well without the app; it’ll even remember your last-used temperature and will automatically heat up to that number next time. The mug turns itself off after two hours of no use, too, and can stay hot all day if you keep it on its included charging coaster. Plus, it comes in eight pretty colors (I have it in white) and is currently on sale for 20 percent off its usual price.

Since getting the Ember mug, I’ve been able to stop making multiple trips to the microwave each morning because of now-cold coffee, and the included power cable makes it easy to keep the cup charged. I also love its sleek look, subtle LED indicator light, and sturdy build (although I do wish it wasn’t hand-wash only, but that’s just a small annoyance).
