What’s Your Bathroom Design Style? This New Service Can Help You Find Out—and Bring It to Life

If you've ever seen an incredible bathroom on Pinterest or Instagram and thought, 'Wow, I want that whole thing,' you're not alone. So many of us want to get that polished designer bathroom look without the price tag of having a designer customize it for us—or the hassle of choosing every little fixture ourselves. Sure, picking vanities and tile is fun, but once you get down to the nuts and bolts (literally), decision fatigue sets in.

Husband and wife team Amy Wasserman and Aaron Popowsky knew firsthand how difficult the process can be—Popowsky has owned and operated a New York-based design-build firm for the last 10 years. So they teamed up with some incredible interior designers (like REAL SIMPLE Home 2024's Hema Persad!) and well-known brands to assemble a selection of made-to-order bathroom designs called The Unoriginal Bathroom Company.

The service offers half-bath and full bath options, and users can order everything from the tile to towel hooks. Their team will consult with you to make sure you're ordering the right amount of paint and tile for your space. Those working with a contractor can also utilize these plans to execute their ideal bath. "Indecisiveness often leads to projects being put off indefinitely," says founder Amy Wasserman. "Talented interior designers designed our bathroom collections so homeowners don't have to think of every little detail."

Moody Glam

So you like a little drama, we get it! This sultry powder room was created by one of our REAL SIMPLE Home 2024 designers, Hema Persad. Powder rooms are the perfect place to get adventurous with decor, and this mysterious, dark room is a real stunner. Belgravia, as this design theme is called, combines black fixtures with brass accents, a silk fiber wall mural, and artisan Zellige floor tiles. It also has plenty of pops of Hollywood regency styles, something Persad often works in to her spaces. Luckily, you can shop everything from the toilet to the soap pump.

Modern and Minimal

If simple and chic is more your speed, check out this powder room. Designed by Jill Romine Interior Design, this space has clean lines and beautiful materials. (Check out that gorgeous white oak vanity!) Neutrals can get a bad rap for being boring, but Romine added visual interest with lots of texture through the raffia wallpaper and mosaic tile.

Art Deco

A little old-school glamor is always welcome, especially for those who love elegant, eye-catching spaces. This room by Marcy Garcia Interior Design boasts all the trademarks of the art deco period: a geometric wallpaper, opulent materials (hello, malachite!), and intricate aged brass details in the sink and hardware.

Bold Boho

For those of us who aren't afraid of color and love a whimsical moment in our designs, this is the bath for you. Powder rooms are a great place to try out a cool wallpaper, which is exactly what Jill Romine decided to do here with this cool floral print. To keep it from overwhelming the space, she mixed in mosaic tiles along the bottom of the wall, a traditional white porcelain sink, and sophisticated brass accents.
