It's easy to get caught up in the "more-is-more" mentality, but minimalists know that you don't need a ton of stuff for a space to look good—you just need the right stuff. This is the ethos behind West Elm's newest designer collaboration. The furniture and home decor brand partnered with Brooklyn-based interior designer Billy Cotton to launch a capsule collection full of useful but high design objects. "We designed 25 pieces that people interact with daily—from your bed to your cereal bowl and dining chairs, these very high-touch objects, and approached them intending to blend beauty and practicality," Cotton says.

The pieces are all about elevating the every day to give homeowners items that are, essentially, functional pieces of art. Some of these objects tend to go under the radar in our homes (how much thought have you given your coasters?), and we love that we're finally giving a little more love to these oft-ignored items. Check out a few of our favorites below and you might just get inspired to elevate the every day products in your own home.

This metal and glass lamp has a futuristic feel. If your home isn't modern, no worries! The parchment color keeps it looking classic and versatile. So go ahead, pair the Bennett table lamp with a traditional nightstand if you'd like.

These chic, minimalist lacquered nightstands are 18 inches wide and made from long-lasting kiln-dried poplar wood. A cute little shelf at the top (7 inches wide) is ideal for holding your phone.

A Timeless Pedestal Dining Table

Pedestal dining tables aren't just chic. They're also ideal for small spaces (just tuck your chairs right in!). This cement version is 44 inches, so it's ideal for a little breakfast nook.

Cool Candleholders That Go With Everything

Bold tapers need a subtle holder to keep them secure and let them shine. These enamel-coated aluminum pieces do just that.

A Pepper Grinder That Will Be The Talk of The Table

These aren't white, off-white, or beige, but stainless steel, which is still a go-to neutral in a kitchen. We totally dig this pepper mill's sleek industrial vibe.

Pretty and Protective Coasters

Protect your table from water rings with a chic set of perforated stainless steel coasters. These perforated disks are simple but eye-catching and the sculptural base corrals them all in one spot.
